2002 Results

RoboCup 2002 was held in the Fukuoka Dome Stadium.  Rescue Simulation League and Rescue Robot League made great success having 18 teams worldwide and 117,000 audiences.  The award winners are the following.

<Award of Rescue Robot League>
1st position:
  KAVOSH (Javan Robotics Club, Iran)
2nd position:
  MARR (Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan)
3rd position:
  No one was suitable for the requirements.
RoboCupRescue Robot League SICE International Award:
 No one was suitable for the requirements.
Best Design Award:
  - Sharif Rescue Robot (Sharif University, Iran)
     for good mechanical design.
  - UVS-IV (Kobe University, Japan)
     for good human interface.

<Award of Rescue Simulation League>
1st position:
 Arian (Sharif University, Iran)
2nd position:
 YowAI2002 (The University of Electro-Communications, Japan)
3rd position:
 NITrescue02 (Nagoya Institute of Technology, Japan)
RoboCup Rescue Simulation League SICE International Award:
  Takeshi Morimoto, Tetsuhiko Koto (YabAI Team, The University of Electro-Communications, Japan)
  for their contribution in development of RoboCupRescue simulation environment.

League Categories

1. Rescue Robot Competition
   • Compete each other according to the 2002 rule in a collapsed building field.
