Japan Open 2001 is the memorable first competition of RoboCup-Rescue. Note that the RoboCup World Cup 2001 is not the first competition. If you get an award, you will become the first awardee and will be honorably memorized in the RoboCup history.
Japan Open 2001 uses the same rule as the RoboCup World Cup 2001. Therefore, it is a good opportunity for testing your agents' performance. At the beginning of this new league, it would be really useful to know how the other participants made their agents in order to get a high score at the World Cup.
Moreover, you will be able to participate in discussion about improving rules, competitions, and research direction. This is important for contributing solution of socially serious problems.
For international participants, remote participation is welcome. Organizers will operate your agents on behalf of you. The results will be notified on the web page.
Send an e-mail including the following information to the secretary (Ms. Chihiro Inamoto; chii@astem.or.jp) until March 11, 2001.
Participants to RoboCup Japan Open 2001 are welcome to participate in RoboFesta Kansai 2001 in Osaka, Japan and RoboCup World Cup 2001 in Seattle USA.
